Engagement Session at Speakeasy in Scottsdale AZ
If you're dreaming of an engagement session that feels cinematic, moody, and undeniably romantic, Tell Your Friends AZ might just be the hidden gem you’ve been searching for.
Hidden away in North Scottsdale, Tell Your Friends is a private speakeasy that feels mysterious and charming—think velvet-draped walls, golden ambient lighting, and vintage glamor from floor to ceiling. When Colleen shared her inspiration for the engagement session, I knew this was going to be the perfect space to create something truly special for them.
A Private Speakeasy All to Themselves
Renting the entire speakeasy meant the couple had total privacy to move, breathe, enjoy a drink, and be themselves. It transformed the session into more than just a photoshoot—it became an experience. With no one else around, they could lean fully into each other, sip their cocktails slowly, and take in the cozy atmosphere without distraction.
The space was styled to perfection. Velvet booths in deep jewel tones hugged the walls, while warm lights glowed from floor to ceiling—creating a golden haze that made everything feel nostalgic and cinematic. Every corner of the room felt like it belonged in an old black-and-white film, and we made full use of the soft textures, reflective surfaces, and moody ambiance.
The Vibe: Intimate, Playful, and Totally Them
We started the session at the bar, where the couple clinked glasses and shared a quiet toast. From there, we wandered through the space, lounging against leather cushions and dancing under the moody lights. The music played softly in the background, creating an effortless rhythm to the shoot that felt natural and unhurried.
